Userpilot is a product growth platform that helps businesses understand user behavior, onboard users, drive feature adoption, and boost retention. It offers tools for product analytics, user engagement (in-app guides, checklists, tooltips), user feedback (surveys, NPS), and session replay to visualize user journeys.
No common features found
Userpilot offers 'Session Replay' which records user interactions within a product for analytics and bug finding. While this involves recording a screen, it is fundamentally different from the asynchronous video communication platform described by Loom. Loom focuses on creating and sharing video messages for communication and collaboration, whereas Userpilot's session replay is for product analytics and understanding user behavior within an application. None of the 'must-have' features like camera recording, instant shared links, or basic video editing are present, nor are the 'other' features like team libraries or integrations for video sharing.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
