Swarm is a video-powered community platform that allows coaches, experts, and creators to build and monetize online communities. It offers features like rich messaging (video, audio, text), live video, courses, and a member directory, aligning with the concept of an online publishing platform that enables content creation and community engagement. While it doesn't explicitly mention a 'recommendation engine' in the same way Medium does, its focus on community interaction and content organization (hubs, topics) serves a similar discovery purpose. The platform also supports monetization through memberships and offers branded mobile apps, user profiles, and various communication tools.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
