Mighty Networks is a platform for building and monetizing communities, courses, and memberships. While it offers robust features for community engagement, content creation, and monetization, its primary focus is on community building rather than a pure online publishing platform like Medium. It has a rich text editor for posts, supports membership monetization, and includes community feedback tools. It also allows for publication-like structures (Spaces), user profiles, tagging, email integrations, mobile apps, social sharing, and search. However, its 'feed' and 'People Magic AI' are more geared towards connecting members within a community rather than a broad, algorithmic content distribution and recommendation engine for general readers, which is a core aspect of Medium.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
