HubSpot CMS offers a content management system with features like a drag-and-drop editor, themes, and analytics, which aligns with the 'rich-text-editor' and 'reader-engagement-metrics' features. While it's not primarily a publishing platform for independent writers in the same vein as Medium, it provides tools for content creation and distribution. The platform also supports user profiles, tags, email newsletters, social sharing, and search capabilities, which match several 'other' features. However, it lacks a direct 'membership-monetization' model for writers based on reading time and 'community-feedback-tools' like claps and highlights in the way Medium does, making the alignment less perfect for all 'must-have' features.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
