Mailchimp is primarily an email marketing and automation platform, which differs significantly from Medium's core offering as an online publishing platform for long-form content. While Mailchimp offers content creation tools and analytics, these are geared towards marketing campaigns rather than general content publishing and monetization for writers. It lacks the specific features related to community engagement (claps, highlights, comments), a recommendation engine for diverse content, and a membership monetization model where writers earn based on reading time, which are central to the Medium concept.

I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
