Narwhal for Reddit is a third-party Reddit client. While Reddit itself is a social Q&A platform, Narwhal is an interface to it. It offers features like viewing subreddits (categories), voting on posts and comments (upvotes/feedback), searching, and managing user accounts (profiles). It also mentions muting inbox notifications (push notifications) and saving links (bookmarks). The app facilitates interaction with Reddit's Q&A structure, but it doesn't inherently have a 'category-based reputation system' or 'privacy controls (global vs. friends)' as defined for NuvyLynx, which is designed from the ground up as a Q&A app with those specific features. Narwhal's features are inherited from Reddit's platform rather than being core to its own Q&A mechanism.

I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
