Standard Notes is primarily a secure note-taking application, not a URL curation and sharing platform. While it offers organization features (tags/folders) and a minimalist interface, it lacks the core functionalities of URL saving with previews, contextual side notes specifically for links, and public sharing of curated link collections without requiring sign-up. Its 'Listed' feature allows publishing notes as a blog, which is a form of public sharing, but it's not designed for sharing collections of URLs in the manner described by URList.

It handles edge cases much better and the API is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
