JotterPad is primarily a writing and formatting tool, not a publishing platform with a built-in recommendation engine or monetization model like Medium. It offers a rich text editor, community feedback tools (implied through sharing and export), user profiles (implied by account), tags/topics (through templates and organization), email newsletter integration (through publishing to blogs), mobile app access, social sharing, and search/discovery features. However, it lacks a core distribution and recommendation engine and a membership monetization model, which are must-have features for the Medium concept.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
