Notion is primarily a productivity and workspace tool, not an online publishing platform like Medium. While it offers features for creating and organizing content (rich-text editor, search), it lacks the core 'distribution and recommendation engine' and 'community feedback tools' that are central to Medium's value proposition for writers and readers. The monetization model is also different, focusing on team/personal subscriptions rather than writer-centric revenue based on reading time. It does have a mobile app and offers in-app purchases for premium features.

I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
