Tumblr is a well-known blogging and social media platform that aligns closely with the features of an online publishing platform. It offers a rich text editor for various post types (text, photo, video, audio), extensive community feedback tools (reblog, likes, comments), user profiles and following, and a tagging system for content organization. While it doesn't explicitly mention a 'monetization' model like Medium's membership, it does allow artists to sell prints and take commissions, which is a form of monetization. The platform also has a strong distribution and recommendation engine through its dashboard and tag-based discovery. It supports mobile access and social sharing.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
