Victory Editing offers editing, formatting, and a NetGalley co-op service for authors. While it helps authors get their books onto NetGalley, which is a distribution platform, Victory Editing itself is not a content publishing and distribution platform like Medium. It does not provide a rich text editor for writing, a recommendation engine for readers, membership monetization for writers, reader engagement metrics, or community feedback tools. Its primary services are editorial and a facilitated access to a third-party distribution platform.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
