Heybeta is a platform designed for authors to manage beta readers and their feedback. It offers features for tracking reader progress and organizing feedback, which aligns with 'Reader Engagement Metrics' and 'Community Feedback Tools' (as it facilitates feedback collection). It also supports user profiles for authors and readers. However, it lacks a rich text editor for content creation, a distribution/recommendation engine, and a monetization model for writers, which are core to the 'Medium' concept. The platform is more of a project management tool for authors and their beta readers rather than a public content publishing and distribution platform.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
