Scribophile is an online writing community that offers a platform for writers to get feedback on their manuscripts. It features a membership model (free and premium), a system for giving and receiving critiques, and tools for community interaction. While it doesn't explicitly mention a 'recommendation engine' in the same vein as Medium, it does have search and discovery features, and its core function revolves around content creation and feedback, aligning with several 'must-have' and 'other' features.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
