The candidate, SoftMaple, is described as a "Paper Typesetting Editor" and explicitly mentions using "Lexical for rich text editing" within its `editor` package. This directly aligns with the 'Rich Text Editor' feature. However, the candidate is a development project hosted on GitHub, and there is no evidence of it being a full-fledged online publishing platform with distribution, monetization, or community features as described in the concept. The other links provided are for GitHub's general features and pricing, not specific to SoftMaple's offering as a publishing platform.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
