Fable is an app focused on reading and discovering books, which aligns with the content consumption aspect of Medium. It offers personalized book recommendations (distribution & recommendation engine), in-app purchases for content (membership & monetization), and community features like commenting (community feedback tools). It also supports user profiles and following, tags/genres for discovery, and is a mobile app. However, it primarily focuses on books rather than long-form articles written by independent writers, and it doesn't explicitly mention a rich text editor for writers within the app, nor detailed reader engagement metrics for authors beyond general growth and income.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
