Zencastr is primarily a podcast and video recording, editing, and distribution platform. While it offers monetization features and analytics, which align with some 'Medium' features, its core offering is not a publishing platform for long-form articles with a rich text editor in the same vein as Medium. The 'rich-text-editor' feature is matched based on its AI editing capabilities that allow editing audio/video like a text document, which is a different interpretation than a traditional text-based rich text editor. The 'distribution-and-recommendation-engine' is matched due to its distribution to podcast apps and AI tools for audience growth. 'Membership & Monetization' is matched through its ad marketplace and sponsorship programs. 'Reader Engagement Metrics' is matched by its advanced podcast analytics. 'Social Sharing & Embedding' is matched by its social clipping and embeddable player. 'Mobile App Access' is matched by its mobile recording capabilities.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
