Authory is primarily a portfolio builder and content backup service for writers, journalists, and content creators. While it offers features like analytics (reader engagement metrics), user profiles, newsletter integration, and social sharing, it does not provide a rich text editor for creating new content directly on the platform, nor does it have a distribution and recommendation engine for content discovery within its own ecosystem. Its focus is on showcasing and archiving existing work, rather than being a publishing platform like Medium.
