Notion Docs offers a rich text editor for creating various types of documents, which aligns with the 'rich-text-editor' feature. While it's not a publishing platform in the same vein as Medium, it allows for sharing and collaboration on documents, and has features like user profiles, tags, mobile access, social sharing, and search. However, it lacks the core 'distribution-and-recommendation-engine' and 'membership-monetization' aspects of Medium, as well as specific 'reader-engagement-metrics' and 'community-feedback-tools' designed for public content consumption and writer monetization.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
