Storytel is primarily an audiobook and ebook subscription service, which differs significantly from Medium's focus on user-generated long-form articles and a rich text editor for writing. While Storytel offers a subscription model and personalized recommendations, it lacks the core 'rich text editor' and 'community feedback tools' for writers to publish their own content, which are must-have features for Medium. It does have a membership monetization model and some discovery features, but its fundamental offering is pre-published audio and e-books, not a platform for independent writers to create and monetize their own articles.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
