Apple Podcasts is a platform for consuming audio content (podcasts), which aligns with the concept of content distribution. It offers personalized recommendations, allows users to follow shows (user profiles/following), categorizes content by topic/category (tags & topics), and provides access to subscriber-only content (membership monetization). It is primarily a mobile app. While it distributes content, it is not a publishing platform for writers to create long-form articles, nor does it offer a rich text editor or detailed reader engagement metrics for creators in the same way Medium does. The monetization is for accessing content, not for writers to earn based on reading time in the same direct manner as Medium's partner program.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
