Amazon Kindle is primarily an e-reader application, not a publishing platform for independent writers to create and monetize content in the same way Medium is. While it allows reading and some interaction with content (highlights, notes), it lacks the core features of a publishing platform such as a robust rich text editor for content creation, a distribution and recommendation engine for user-generated content, and monetization models for writers based on reader engagement. It does offer features related to reading experience, content organization, and basic user interaction, which align with some 'other' features.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
