Tortoise is a text-to-speech program, which is a tool for generating audio from text. This is fundamentally different from Medium's core offering, which is an online publishing platform for written content. While both deal with content, their primary functions and target audiences are distinct. Tortoise does not offer any features related to content creation (rich text editor), distribution (recommendation engine), monetization, or community engagement for written articles.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
