Google Meet is primarily a real-time video conferencing tool, which differs from Loom's asynchronous video messaging focus. However, it does offer some overlapping features. It explicitly mentions 'send a video message that they can watch and respond to later,' which aligns with instant shared links and camera recording. The app also supports 'in-call chat' which can be considered a form of video comments, and it is clearly a mobile application. It does not, however, emphasize screen recording as a primary feature for asynchronous messages, nor does it highlight basic video editing or viewer analytics in the same way Loom does for its core offering.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
