Signal Private Messenger is primarily a secure messaging application. While it offers video and voice calls, and the ability to send video messages, it does not align with the core value proposition of Loom, which is an asynchronous video communication platform for screen recording and instant sharing of polished videos for collaboration. Signal's video features are more akin to live video calls or sending pre-recorded video files within a chat, rather than a dedicated tool for creating and sharing video messages for professional or collaborative purposes with features like screen recording, editing, and analytics. However, it does support camera recording (video calls/messages), has a mobile app, and allows for comments on shared content (though not specifically timestamped video comments in the Loom sense).
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
