Hacky Loom is described as a "Lightweight Loom alternative to show your face on videos." This directly implies camera recording. While the description is brief, the core functionality of a "Loom alternative" strongly suggests screen recording as well, which is a fundamental aspect of Loom. There is no explicit mention of other features like instant sharing, editing, or analytics, which are key to the original Loom product.
I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API
is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
