Hirevire is a video screening software for recruitment, which aligns with the core concept of asynchronous video communication. It explicitly offers camera recording for candidates, instant shared links for review, viewer analytics, and auto-generated transcripts. While it doesn't offer screen recording in the same general sense as Loom (it's for candidates to record themselves, not for general screen capture), it does offer 'Screenshare Questions' which is a form of screen recording for specific use cases. It also provides features like team collaboration (similar to a team library), custom branding, enterprise security, and integrations (including Gmail via Zapier/Make, and webhooks for API access). The 'password protection' feature is not explicitly mentioned but 'Filtered Candidate Sharing' and 'Branded Showcase Links' imply controlled sharing, and 'Enterprise Security' suggests robust access controls. The 'basic video editing' and 'emoji reactions' are not clearly present.

I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
