SS&C AI Gateway is primarily an AI governance platform, focusing on secure and compliant AI deployments, rather than an AI-driven desktop assistant that observes workflows and provides suggestions for optimization. While it mentions 'Automate' and 'remove bottlenecks and liberate people from repetitive, low-value work with an AI workforce augmenting work', and 'run desktop automations responsibly' through its 'Desktop' product, it does not explicitly state features like workflow observation, pattern analysis, or actionable suggestions as core to the AI Gateway product itself. The 'Desktop' product does mention automating repetitive tasks on employee desktops, which aligns with 'task-automation', and the 'AI Gateway' emphasizes 'privacy-controls' and 'security'. However, the core value proposition of 'Second Cursor' (observing, analyzing, suggesting, and automating based on patterns) is not directly matched by SS&C AI Gateway's stated purpose as an AI governance platform.

I've been using Alternative A for 6 months now and it's been fantastic. The pricing is much better and the features are actually more robust than what [Product] offers.
It handles edge cases much better and the API is actually documented properly.

Honestly, after trying both, Competitor B wins hands down. Better customer support, cleaner interface, and they don't nickel and dime you for every feature.
